Sleek Modern Kitchen & Bathroom Remodel in Kenmure

Modern kitchen styles do work in mountain homes.  For our clients in the gated mountain community of Kenmure in Hendersonville, NC, we completed a kitchen makeover.  The clients wanted to have a more modern and sleek kitchen.  They choose black, flat front cabinets doors.  We were able to reface and reused their existing cabinet bases–we weren’t changing the layout of any of the cabinets on the perimeter of the kitchen.  We were however removing a half wall that separated the kitchen from the adjoining living space.  The half wall had a small unusable ledge that cluttered the view into the kitchen and was never used.  After lowering the wall we were able to extend the countertop into the living space unifying the two rooms. We also enlarged an existing center island.  The homeowners wanted to add in a little desk in the kitchen, so we modified the existing cabinet to meet the owner’s request.  The windows in the breakfast area were replaced.

We also added hardwood floors on the first level of the home and remodeled the master bathroom as a part of this project.  It was a total gut of the bathroom where we reconfigured the layout moving the toilet and moving the tub.  For comfort and a bit of luxury, we added heated floors in the newly remodeled master bath.
