White Shaker Kitchen Remodel

The White Shaker Kitchen has become the new classic in kitchen design.  The style is appropriate for just about any architecture and it is certainly right at home here in Western North Carolina.  For our clients in this Asheville home, their goal was to re-energize their kitchen and to brighten up the space, while also updating the finishes with new fixtures, lights, and a new countertop surface.  They were also looking for a remodeling company that could finish an adjacent enclosed porch and to incorporate that space into the kitchen to creating a sitting area and an eating area.

Slight modifications were made to the kitchen layout, including removing upper cabinets over a peninsula.  Double wall ovens were replaced with one single wall oven and a built in microwave.  Because the adjacent room had been on the exterior of the home, the walls were tongue and groove siding.  The owner liked the look of this, so we replicated the wall treatment around the rest of the finished room.  This gave the appearance of a shiplap wall treatment in the new bright and cheery breakfast room.
